An old pal, Damon, whom I have known since schooldays, was unable to make the trip out due to the fact that his wife, Alison, is expecting their first child, sent this message:

"I have had the pleasure (and pain!) of knowing Damian for almost 30 years and am absolutely relieved delighted that he has found such a mug / special person as Sarah to share his life with. He is a lucky man, and Sarah is a lucky lassie (as we say in Scotland).

We would have loved to have shared your special day with you but with our first baby due in a few months and a new business just started launched it wasn’t practical. I did ask Alison if she could reschedule but apparently this “due date” thing can’t be moved!
